It is our pleasure to held the 11th annual conference of the French Association of Environmental and Resources Economists from September 5th to September 6th 2024. The conference will be organized by the BETA (Bureau for Economic Theory and Applications) and located at the Pôle européen de gestion et d'économie (PEGE) in Strasbourg. 

 

The aim of the FAERE annual conferences is to favor and support both the production and diffusion of researches in environmental economics at national and international levels. All theoretical as well as empirical articles in the field of biodiversity, fisheries, agriculture, forest management, water management, energy, climate, pollution, health, sustainable development or bio-economics (non-exhaustive list) are welcome.

Submissions and important dates

You are invited to submit theoretical or empirical papers in all fields of environmental and natural resource economics. Full papers will be posted on the submission page of the website. The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2024. Notification of acceptance, following the selection process, is expected on mid-May, 2024.

The number of submissions per person is unlimited, but the number of presentations per person in parallel sessions is limited to one. Authors will need to register for the conference by June 30, 2024 for their paper to be included in the final program.

Keynote Speaker

Professor Susan Chilton

The academic core of her research is applied welfare economics, centering on the use of surveys and experimental situations to understand how individuals make decisions affecting their economic welfare. The work is based in environmental economics, safety economics and health economics.

FAERE prize for best paper by a young environmental and natural resources economist

At the general meeting of the 11th annual conference, the winner of the FAERE Young Economist Award for the best paper presented at the conference will be announced.
